BIOSECURE Compliance Alone Won't Save You

This memo released by McDermott Will & Schulte yesterday suggests that firms concerned only with their BIOSECURE compliance and not with greater supply chain transparency may “miss the larger signal”.

Its one thing to know that the vendors you work with aren’t based in China. It’s another to develop traceability through several degrees of vendors, and ensure that the firms you work with are holding themselves to the same standards that you do.

I think that subsidiary tree traversal, parent company linkage, and beneficial ownership should all considered when evaluating BCC’s in order to not only ensure compliance, but to best position a group for competitive advantage when applying for future funding.
